Bro. Ron K. Jones was born in Lubbock, TX, and was raised in a pastor's home.  He has been actively involved in the ministry for most of his life.  In 1992, after hearing Bro. Sam Davison's preaching, Bro. Ron surrendered his life to God.  At that time, he was serving with Pastor William Fortson at Seminole Baptist in Springfield, MO, as Youth Director.  In 1993, God opened the door and led Bro. Ron to Bible Baptist Church is Stillwater, OK, to serve with Bro. Dave McCracken as his Music and Youth Director.  While involved in this fruitful ministry, God called Bro. Ron to Bend, OR, to work with his father who was planting a new church.  Bro. Ron and his family served in Bend for almost 4 years.  Then in the fall of 2000, God led the Jones Family to Temple Baptist Church in El Dorado, KS .  Bro. Ron served as Pastor David Shaffer's Minister of Music and led the Children's Ministries.  In the fall of 2003, God led and Temple Baptist called Bro. Ron Jones to be their pastor.  He loves church and considers the ministry "The Greatest Thing I've Ever Done!"

 

Bro. Ron and Mrs. Twila were married in December 1982.  God blessed them with two children, Rachel and Stephen.

 

Rachel graduated from Heartland Baptist Bible College in Oklahoma City in May 2009.  She married Ryan Wehr in May 2011.  Ryan and Rachel live and work in Wichita, and they are now faithfully serving in various ministries here at Temple.

 

Stephen graduated from Heartland in May 2011.  He married Megan Plumlee in August 2011.  Stephen and Megan are now serving on staff at Windsor Baptist Church in Windsor, CO.

 

Bro. Ron and Mrs. Twila love the ministry and count it their honor and great joy to serve the Lord with the faithful and loving people of Temple Baptist Church.
